Principal's Message

Greetings Families,
 
Welcome to Esther Collins Early Education Center, home of "The Young Scholars." Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, and I am extremely proud to be the Principal of Esther Collins EEC.  Here at Collins, we strive to provide developmentally appropriate hands-on instructional activities that encourage students to explore, create, learn, and collaborate with each other in a safe and nurturing environment.
 
We offer many trainings and workshops to families to empower and support you and your child during their educational trajectory. We have an open-door policy in which families are encouraged to partner with the center in their child's growth and development.
 
Once again, I welcome you to Esther Collins Early Education Center and look forward to working with you.

SHAKEOUT 2025

On Thursday, October 16, 2024 at 10:16am, Esther Collins EEC and all of LAUSD will participate in the nationwide SHAKEOUT 2025. The students will practice DROP! COVER! HOLD ON! and evacuation techniques.

FREE ORAL SCREENING!

West Coast Dental will be at Collins EEC on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 offering a free oral screening to each child.
Parents must sign a consent form (sent home this week) and all participants will receive a dental health report card AND free dental hygiene products.

We want to ensure that our children are aware of the importance of oral hygiene.
